Police Chief Killed, 4 Officers Wounded In Greenland, NH
GREENLAND, NH (CBS) - One police officer was shot and killed and four more were wounded in Greenland, New Hampshire Thursday night. The officer that was killed is Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney.
5 A.M. UPDATE: Suspected gunman and woman found dead inside home
Two of the other officers who were shot are in critical condition. Their identities have not been released. They were in surgery overnight.
Officers went to the home on Post Road around 6:30 Thursday night as part of a drug investigation. The officers entered the home and a suspect opened fire.
Police were still in a standoff with the shooter at 517 Post Road early Friday morning. No arrests have been made.

"Presently the armed subject and a female remain inside the home," said Attorney General Michael Delaney at 10p.m. "We are working with federal, state and local law enforcement to try and attempt to obtain a peaceful resolution."
SWAT teams were evacuating people from homes within a half-mile radius.
Chief Maloney was scheduled to retire on April 20.
"He was a wonderful chief, he's eight days away from retirement," says Greenland Town Administrator Karen Anderson. "It's just not fair."
New Hampshire Governor John Lynch is at Portsmouth Regional Hospital where the wounded officers were transported.
"This is a tragic incident, and my thoughts and prayers are with the officers involved and their families," Gov. Lynch said.
All Greenland schools will be closed Friday as a result of the shooting.
Delaney says more information will be made available early Friday morning.
