Reports: Rondo Replaces Johnson In NBA All-Star Game
BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo will be an All-Star after all.
Rondo will take part in the third All-Star game of his career this weekend in Orlando, replacing Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson on the Eastern Conference squad according to multiple reports.
Rondo is currently second in the NBA with 9.5 assists per game and is second on the team with 14.8 points per game. The guard will miss his second straight contest Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, part of a two-game suspension for tossing a ball at a referee on Sunday.
Rondo will join Celtics forward Paul Pierce as the team's only representatives on the Eastern squad.
