Report: Thomas Moved Family To Colorado Mid-Season
BOSTON (CBS) – Tim Thomas and family are no longer New England residents.
The Boston Bruins netminder reportedly moved his entire family out to Colorado during the middle of the season, according to CSNNE's Joe Haggerty.
Thomas, who has one year remaining in his contract with the Bruins, had lived north of Boston the last seven years. One source told Haggerty the move could reflect the 38-year-old Thomas' desire to work with the Team USA hockey program located in Colorado Springs.

However, it could also have something to do with the tumultuous season Thomas had in Boston. Although the Bruins and Thomas played well for the most part, they did have their struggles along the way. Thomas made headlines when he skipped out on the team's White House trip in January to celebrate their 2011 Stanley Cup Championship, and was very non-committal on his future with the Bruins following the team's first round loss to the Washington Capitals.

While it won't be clear for some time if the move meant anything toward the remainder of his days in Boston, anything Thomas does is under the microscope after choosing not to attend the White House ceremony.
