Report: Teams Asking About Celtics' Allen On Deadline Day
BOSTON (CBS) - The trade winds are starting to blow on deadline day in the NBA, and the Celtics are part of that chatter.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted several contenders are interested in Celtics guard Ray Allen, but right now the price is too high.
That could all change later in the afternoon though.
Celtics president Danny Ainge would like to receive a young player and first-round draft pick in return for the NBA's All-Time three-point king, but teams are only offering one or the other at this point.

Allen would be a great pickup for any contender, as his offensive game will fit in nearly any NBA system. The 36-year-old Allen is averaging 14.6 points while shooting 47-percent this season. His shooting, and expiring contract, are enticing to other teams, but will also be useful for Boston when the offseason hits if he isn't traded.
