Report: Pierce, Rondo, KG To Play In International Tour
BOSTON (CBS) – Some of the NBA's biggest stars might get to play basketball this season after all, including a trio of Boston Celtics.
Accourding the ESPN's Chris Brousard, sources say some of basketball's biggest names are finalizing plans for a two-week exhibition tour during what would have been the first two weeks of the regular season.
Included on the list are Celtics Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce, with Kevin Garnett contemplating joining in on the fun. They would be playing alongside players like Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin.

Sources say it would be a two-week, six-game, four-continent tour scheduled to begin October 30 and end November 9. Games would be played in Puerto Rico, London, Macau, and Australia, with two games each at sites in London and Australia.
Of course the players would not just be doing this to hit the hardwood. The sources say players will be paid, receiving salaries ranging from six figures up to $1 million.
A portion of the money from the tour will be donated to charity.
There is also talk of having the games broadcast, but the sources warned that the tour has not yet been finalized and it could fall apart.
