Patriots OL Stephen Neal Retires
FOXBORO (CBS) - Patriots offensive lineman Stephen Neal is reportedly retiring.
ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss first reported that Neal was listed as reserve/retired on the NFL's official transaction wire on Wednesday. The Patriots later confirmed that Neal announced his retirement after ten years with the team.
The right guard has been with the Patriots since 2001, and was scheduled to earn $3 million in 2011.
He played eight games this past season before being placed on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury.
