Patriots' Hernandez Doesn't Travel To London
BOSTON (CBS) - The Patriots will be without one Tom Brady's main targets this Sunday in London.
Tight End Aaron Hernandez did not make the trip to London, as first reported by The NFL Network's Burt Breer , and is officially listed as out on the Patriots' latest injury report.
Hernandez missed Thursday's practice session after having limited participation on Wednesday.
The Patriots tight end played the last two weeks for after missing three games with an ankle injury he suffered in New England's Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He totaled 11 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown in his two games back, but could have re-aggravated the ankle last week against the Jets.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted out Friday afternoon that Hernandez' ankle is not responding to its treatment, and he has trouble cutting with the injury.

Missing the game on Sunday gives Hernandez two weeks off from football, as the Patriots have their bye week following their match-up with the Rams.

Hernandez' absence will likely put more stress on fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is currently battling a hip injury and is listed as questionable on the injury report. Daniel Fells, who has just two catches on the season, could also see a bigger role in the passing game on Sunday against the Rams.
On the season, Hernandez has 17 receptions for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Brandon Bolden, Patrick Chung, Ras-I Dowling, Steve Gregory, Trevor Scott, and Tracy White are also listed as out.
