Report: Gronkowski Cleared By Doctors To Play Sunday vs. Jets
BOSTON (CBS) - The "will he play, won't he play" drama around Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski may be finally coming to an end this weekend.
According to a report, Gronkowski has received medical clearance from his doctors to play Sunday against the New York Jets. WBZ-TV's Levan Reid has confirmed the report, and said to expect more official information to come later Friday.
Via text, Gronkowski's agent Drew Rosenhaus told Pro Football Talk on Friday that, "Rob has now been cleared by all his doctors to play Sunday in the Jets game."

Gronkowski has been practicing with the team since the beginning of the season, and was limited again on Thursday. He was even named one of the team's practice players of the week.
But the 24-year-old Pro Bowler has not returned to game action as he continued to recovery from a broken forearm that required four surgeries over the off-season.

While receiving medical clearance was one of the final hurdles for Gronkowski's return to the field, it will still be up to Gronk and Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick to determine if he will play on Sunday. But given the Patriots' need on offense, with receiver Danny Amendola likely out with a head injury, it's hard to imagine Gronkowski not playing if he's cleared to do so.

Gronkowski led the Patriots with 11 touchdown receptions last season despite playing in just 11 games. In his three NFL seasons, Gronkowski has 38 touchdowns.
