Patriots Alfonzo Dennard Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI
BOSTON (CBS) - Another New England Patriot is finding himself in legal trouble Thursday morning -- and this isn't the first time.
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested on the suspicion of DUI in Lincoln, Nebraska early Thursday morning.
Dennard was reportedly pulled over around 2 a.m. when officers saw him straddling a lane while driving a red 2011 Honda Accord, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence as well as a driving infraction. Dennard refused a chemical test at the scene.

Dennard was cited and released, so no mug shot was taken. He was given a court date of August 12, 2013, according to Lincoln police.
This is the second time Dennard has been arrested in the last 15 months. Prior to being drafted, the 23-year-old was arrested after punching a police officer in the face at a Lincoln bar. He was convicted in February and received two years of probation, a 30-day jail sentence and 100 hours of community. His jail sentence was set to begin March 1, 2014 -- during the NFL off-season.
Dennard saw action in 10 games last season for the Patriots -- who selected him in the seventh round after his draft stock fell due to his first arrest. As a rookie, he tallied 35 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble.
This news comes as former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez sits in jail charged with first-degree murder. Hernandez was arrested on June 26, and the Patriots released him just hours later.
"The New England Patriots are extremely disappointed to learn of Alfonzo Dennard's arrest. We take this matter very seriously and are working to get more information on the incident," the Patriots said in a statement, Thursday.
