Mariners Trade Ichiro Suzuki To The Yankees
NEW YORK (CBS) - The Seattle Mariners traded outfielder Ichiro Suzuki to the New York Yankees Monday.
The Mariners received right-handed pitchers D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar in exchange.
Ichiro is batting .261 with 4 home runs and 28 RBI this season in 95 games.
He's hitting .322 with 2,533 hits since he joined the major leagues in 2001. He had spent his entire major league career with the Mariners.
