According to a new report from perezhilton.com, Grammy nominee John Mayer has reached an agreement with CBS to host a music and comedy show.
You may be seeing him as the host of his own TV variety show.
"I was with him – there was a thing that he did . . . last week for just kind of trying out some new music. He's very (into his) new album, (and his) new music, so once he has time – I mean this is like the busiest man in music, so once he has time, we'll hopefully get back in," CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told perezhilton.com.
Mayer is also in the studio working on the follow-up to his 2009 release Battle Studies, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and moved 286,000 copies in its first week. Plus it has been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
On top of that, Mayer is also nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his single "Half of My Heart" and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "Crossroads."
