Roche: Jenks And Others To Join Red Sox Bullpen
BOSTON (CBS) -- Chicago White Sox closer Bobby Jenks will be making his way to Boston.
WBZ-TV's Dan Roche confirms that the Red Sox have signed the free agent reliever to a deal. ESPN's Buster Olney and SI's Jon Heyman first reported the deal.
Boston has also inked reliever Matt Albers.
The Sox have also agreed to minor league deals with relievers Andrew Miller, Rich Hill, Ryan Harvey, Cleveland Santeliz, Lenny DiNardo and Randy Williams. Hill, Williams, Santeliz, and Miller have been invited to Spring Training as non-roster players.
According to Buster Olney of ESPN The Magazine, Jenks agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract with the Red Sox. The agreement is pending on a physical.
