Horton Signs 7-Year Deal With Columbus
BOSTON (CBS) - Nathan Horton is moving on from the Boston Bruins, and heading to Columbus.
Horton signed a seven-year, $37.1 million deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, according to TSN.
Horton, 28, will reportedly make $30 million over the first five years of the deal, with a annual average value at $5.3 million.
After three seasons in Boston, in which the Bruins went to two Stanley Cup Finals and won one, Horton's agent told the team this offseason he would not be returning.

On Boston's top line next to David Krejci and Milan Lucic, Horton recorded 56 goals and 51 assists in 169 regular season games. He enjoyed great success in the postseason, with 15 goals and 21 assists in 43 playoff games.

Now he is in Columbus, who have been to the playoffs once since becoming a team in 2000 but made a strong push for the playoffs last season.
