Report: Dwight Freeney Visiting Patriots On Friday
BOSTON (CBS) - Add free agent defensive end Dwight Freeney to the list of players visiting Foxboro.
According to CSNNE's Tom E. Curran, Freeney will visit with the Patriots on Friday. Also in town for visits are defensive end John Abraham and safety Adrian Wilson.
For Freeney, this may be the only time Patriots fans get excited for the veteran pass-rusher to visit Gillette.

Over his 11-year NFL career, Freeney has racked up 107.5 sacks with the Indianapolis Colts. While at 33 he's getting up there in years, he still totaled five and 8.5 sacks over the last two seasons, respectively. Since being drafted out of Syracuse in 2001, Freeney has seven seasons with double-digit sack totals.
In seven career games against the Patriots, Freeney has registered three sacks of quarterback Tom Brady. In 17 playoff games, he has registered nine sacks.

While the Patriots main focus on defense should be in the secondary, they could use another pass-rusher to play alongside Rob Ninkovich and Chandler Jones.
