Report: Dallas Clark Visits Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) -- With Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez and newcomer Daniel Fells, the New England Patriots appear to be all set at the tight end position. Leave it to Bill Belichick, though, to kick the tires on a player who's given him fits in the past.
According to The Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young, free-agent tight end Dallas Clark visited the Patriots on Tuesday.
As much as the Patriots may lack a need for another tight end, it's easy to see why Belichick would at least be interested. In seven games against the Patriots, Clark has 16 catches for 271 yards, impressive numbers considering how much focus Belichick's defenses put on shutting down Clark.
Clark, however, has played in just 17 games in the past two seasons due to injuries.
