Celtics Trade Erden, Harangody To Cavs For Pick
BOSTON (CBS) - Trading away one center wasn't enough for Celtics GM Danny Ainge on Thursday.
WBZ-TV has confirmed Boston has traded rookies Semih Erden and Luke Harangody to Cleveland for a second-round pick.
The Celtics also traded starting center Kendrick Perkins along with Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for forward Jeff Green and center Nenad Krstic, according to Yahoo.
These moves leave the Celtics very thin at the center position, with Shaquille O'Neal (Achilles injury) and Jermaine O'Neal (ankle surgery) both out at the moment.
Trading Erden and Harangody could be a move to free up roster space, with the Celtics looking to make another trade or sign a player or two after they get bought-out.
The trade was first reported by Yahoo Sports.
