Report: Canucks Expected To Make 'Big Push' For Iginla
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Bruins would like to bring back Jarome Iginla, but they'll have some stiff competition on the open market.
You can add Vancouver to the list of teams they'll be competing with, as the Canucks "will be making a big push" for the free agent winger this off-season according to TSN's Farhan Lalji.
In his first year in Boston, Iginla tallied 30 goals (tied for the team lead) to go with 31 assists in 78 games played and was a plus-34 for the regular season. In 12 postseason contests, the top-line winger scored five goals and recorded two assists in 12 games, finishing the playoffs with an even plus/minus during his time on the ice.

The 37-year-old has said he would like to return to Boston, but the Bruins will have to clear out cap space in order to bring him back.
In addition to Vancouver, who is now led by former Boston assistant GM Jim Benning, the Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild have also expressed interest in signing Iginla.
