Busy Bruins Make Pair Of Trades, Land Kaberle
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins have finally gotten their man.
The Bruins and Maple Leafs agreed to a trade that sends defenseman Tomas Kaberle to Boston for Joe Colburne, the Bruins first round draft pick in 2011, and a conditional draft pick, the team announced Friday.

Kaberle will join the Bruins in Ottawa Friday night, and will be available to suit against the Senators.
Kaberle spent 12 seasons with the Maple Leafs, and is the puck-moving defenseman the Bruins have long coveted. He led the Leafs with 35 assists this season, 22 on the power play.

Kaberle will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
The Bruins also traded forward Blake Wheeler and defenseman Mark Stuart to Atlanta for center Rich Peverley and defenseman Boris Valabik, the team announced in a release.

Wheeler departs after scoring 11 goals in 58 games in 2011. Stuart, a scrappy defender, had been a healthy scratch in eight of the last 11 games for the Bruins.
Colborne was drafted 16th overall by the Bruins in 2008.
On Tuesday, Boston acquired center Chris Kelly from the Ottawa Senators for a second round draft pick.
