Report: Buffalo Bills Trade For LeSean McCoy
BOSTON (CBS) – The Buffalo Bills have reportedly added a new weapon as they seek to dethrone the New England Patriots from atop the AFC East.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday night that the Bills, led by newly hired head coach Rex Ryan, are set to acquire star Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy.
According to Schefter's report, the Bills will send linebacker Kiko Alonso to Philadelphia in exchange for McCoy when they can officially make the move next week.
McCoy, who is 26 years old, is coming off a season during which he rushed for 1,319 yards. In 2013 he ran for 1,607 and 9 touchdowns while also catching 52 passes for 539 yards.
The Eagles drafted McCoy in 2009 and he has averaged 75 yards per game in six NFL seasons.
Drew Rosenhaus, McCoy's agent, said on Twitter that he has not been informed of a trade being in place.
"I just spoke with the Eagles organization and there is no trade for LeSean at this time. There have been discussions but nothing finalized," Rosenhaus tweeted.
New England plays the Bills twice next season, though the dates have not yet been released.
