Report: Bruins Out Of Nash, Ryan Sweepstakes
BOSTON (CBS) – The price tag for Columbus' Rick Nash and Anaheim's Bobby Ryan is getting too high for the Boston Bruins.
According to a report by ESPNBoston's James Murphy, the Bruins are out of the running for Nash, and have also said David Krejci and Milan Lucic are not available this summer.
While the team has had "exploratory" talks about Ryan, the unavailability of Krejci pretty much ends those fantasies as well.

Nash had said he would waive his no-trade clause to go to Boston, but with reports that Columbus' asking price was any combo of Krejci, Lucic, Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton, the Bruins are simply walking away.
The Bruins could certainly use the offensive punch that either Nash or Ryan would give them, but by giving up Krejci and/or Lucic would mean they lose key parts of their core for one offensive force.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has made a point to keep the core of his 2011 Stanley Cup team together, so jettisoning either of those players would go against what he has done the last two summers.
