Report: Bill O'Brien 'Strongly Considering' NFL Interview
BOSTON (CBS) - It should come as no surprise that after leading Penn State to an 8-4 record in his first season, head coach Bill O'Brien is getting some interest from NFL teams.
What is surprising though is that, after just one season as a head coach, O'Brien is considering making the jump back to the pros.
SI's Peter King tweeted on Tuesday that O'Brien is "strongly considering interviewing with an NFL team."

With seven head coaches losing their job on "Black Monday," there are plenty of positions available for O'Brien should he choose to leave Happy Valley. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported the Eagles, Browns, Cardinals and Chargers are all interested in O'Brien.

Before taking the Penn State job, O'Brien spent five years in New England as an assistant under Bill Belichick. He took over as the Patriots' offensive coordinator in 2011, when the Patriots averaged 32.1 points per game.
