Report: Bears Interview Patriots Executive Jason Licht
FOXBORO (CBS) - The Chicago Bears interviewed Patriots Directer of Pro Personnel Jason Licht Monday for their general manager vacancy, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The Bears fired GM Jerry Angelo earlier this month after the team went 8-8. Injuries to QB Jay Cutler and RB Matt Forte ultimately doomed Chicago's once-promising season, and backups Caleb Hanie and Marion Barber failed to help right the ship.
The 40-year-old Licht got his start in the NFL as a scouting assitant for the Dolphins in 1995. He joined the Patriots from 1999-2002 as a college scout before bolting for Philadelphia.
Licht rejoined the Pats in his current role in Feb. 2009.
