Report: Antonio Cromartie Agrees To Return To Jets
BOSTON (CBS) -- There's no recruiter in the NFL with as much power as Darrelle Revis, apparently.
Just two days after the future Hall of Famer chose to return to the New York Jets, Revis has recruited his former partner in crime, Antonio Cromartie.
According to ESPN.com, Cromartie and the Jets agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal on Thursday.
Cromartie, 30, played four seasons for the Jets from 2010-13 before spending last season with the Arizona Cardinals. In his nine-year career with the Chargers (2006-09), Jets and Cardinals, he's made 31 interceptions, 373 tackles and 102 pass defenses.
The Jets gave up the third-most passing touchdowns in the NFL last year, and with the signings of Revis and Cromartie, the team is clearly setting out to fix that weakness in free agency.
