Report: Aaron Hernandez's Fiancee Investigated

BOSTON (CBS) - Newly released documents show police may be focusing on Aaron Hernandez's fiancée for allegedly making "overt attempts to hide evidence…and to hinder and mislead," according to the Hartford Courant.

And those documents indicate police think Shayanna Jenkins may know what happened to the missing murder weapon in the Odin Lloyd case.

Police searched a storage locker in Connecticut leased in Shayanna Jenkins' name and paid for with Aaron Hernandez's credit card. Nothing was removed from the unit.

According to the Courant, the documents outline evidence against Jenkins that includes surveillance video from the Hernandez home, text messages from Hernandez and an interview with Jenkins' sister.

The day after Odin Lloyd's body was found, surveillance video reportedly captured Jenkins leaving the home she shares with Hernandez and their child carrying a trash bag. Authorities said it looked like it contained hard container like a lock box or safe.

Jenkins allegedly places the bag in the trunk of a red Nissan. When she returned to the mansion a half hour later, the bag is missing.

The next day police found a .22 caliber handgun in a wooded area just blocks away. They believe it is the gun that both Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz were seen carrying the night of the murder.

According to the Courant, investigators also revealed that Hernandez sent text messages to his fiancée referencing a box in the basement.

Police spent days searching a pond near Hernandez's uncle's home, but they've never found the .45 caliber Glock used to kill Lloyd.

Jenkins has not been charged with any crime. Aaron Hernandez faces first degree murder charges in the death of Odin Lloyd.
