Report: Aaron Hernandez Sued By Families Of Men Killed In South End Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) – The families of two men killed in a South End shooting in 2012 have filed wrongful death lawsuits against former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez.

The Boston Globe reports the families of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado want $6 million each from Hernandez.

Hernandez has not been charged in the shootings, but authorities believe he may have been the shooter. He was seen on surveillance video in the same nightclub as the victims on the night of the attack and a SUV matching the description of the shooter's vehicle was found in Hernandez's uncle's garage in Connecticut.

Hernandez is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder in the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd. The Lloyd family has already filed its own wrongful death lawsuit against Hernandez.
