Repairs Underway After Burst Water Pipe Floods Downtown Street
BOSTON (CBS) -- It was quite a scene in a section of Downtown Boston this morning, as a water pipe let go, sending water cascading down a congested street.
Fire Department officials say a water pipe connecting a building to an underground main let go at Milk and Broad streets.
"It wasn't the water main itself they think it was one of the connections into the building," Acting District Chief Steven Waldron said.

Waldron says things are finally getting back to normal.
The building affected contains a half-dozen businesses and apartments.
Bob Rapucci owns the Italian Cafe and says the section of Broad Street was just redone with new pavement and sidewalks.
'The basement is flooded about two feet of water," Rapucci said. "It was like a waterfall."
Now, it will have to be repaved where the road buckled.
Witnesses say it took about an hour for the water to recede.
The busted pipe is expected to be repaired by the end of Thursday.
