Refreshing Air Making Its Entrance
After a deluge of rain for many areas since this past weekend, a gorgeous summer day is on tap today. 'Rain not included'! :) Several neighborhoods have received between 4-6 inches of rain since Sunday.
Today, we will be basking in sunshine and a fair-weather cumulus clouds this afternoon. Highs temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s (southern interior). Friday will be another beauty with high temperatures around 80F.
This Weekend: It will be a sunny start to our Saturday before more high to mid level clouds head our way late in the day. Highs will be between 80-85F. Humidity will also be on the rise. Sunday will me mostly cloudy with rain arriving by the afternoon. High temps will head back down to the 70s.
This rainy scenario and trough aloft will most likely bring us rain through Monday and possibly into portions of Tuesday.
Atlantic Tropical Update: At the moment, we aren't following a specific storm, but we are monitoring a few tropical waves, especially two that are just off the west coast of Africa. One of these is showing signs of becoming the 6th named storm, which would be called 'Franklin'.
