Wakefield Still Seeking 200th Win
BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield is still seeking career win number-200.
Wakefield was unable to pick up the milestone win in his third try Monday night, getting the no decision in Boston's 8-6 victory over the Twins.
The 45-year-old had a chance to pick up the win after the Sox took a 6-5 lead in the seventh inning, but Alfredo Aceves allowed a game-tying RBI single in the eighth inning.
Despite not getting the W, Wakefield knows his team winning is what is most important.

"My job as a starter is to give quality innings and go deep in the game. Even the last three starts, we've won two of three of them. That's the most important thing; keeping our lead in the American League East," he said after the game.
After a rough second inning in which the Twins took a 5-1 lead, Wakefield ending up giving Boston seven innings allowing just the five runs (three earned) off eight hits.
"I felt like I had a good knuckleball all night," Wakefield told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Jonny Miller. "Some stuff happened there in the second inning; you try to persevere through that and try to keep us in the game as long as possible."

"First of all we want to win; we obviously want to win," said Manager Terry Francona. "Personally, we want Wake to get that win. The last three have been back and forth."
Wakefield's next shot at his 200th win will likely come Sunday afternoon in Seattle when the Red Sox close out a three-game series with the Mariners.
In his three tries at 200, Wakefield is 0-1 with a 3.92 ERA.
