Red Sox Sending Major League Lineup At Northeastern
BOSTON (CBS) - The 2013 Boston Red Sox will play their first games together on Thursday with their annual double-header against Northeastern and Boston College down in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Red Sox will throw a mostly-Major League lineup against the Huskies at 1:30 p.m.:
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Shane Victorino, RF
4. Jonny Gomes, LF
5. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, DH
6. Will Middlebrooks, 3B
7. Stephen Drew, SS
8. Lyle Overbay, 1B
9. David Ross, C
Joel Hanrahan, P
This marks the 11th matchup between the Red Sox and Northeastern. They've played each of the last nine seasons, and first met back in 1977, when Luis Tiant started against the Huskies.
Manager John Farrell said he hopes to get his starters two at-bats Thursday afternoon, and his pitchers an inning or two of work.

Farrell talked about all the potential lineups he's gone through this spring on Thursday morning, and though he's had to come up with quite a few he said that's what makes the spring so enjoyable.
"That's the fun part. Now, as we get on the field, this is the fun," he told reporters in Fort Myers. "We've gone through a lot of work, a lot of conversations with individual players. It's about putting a new wrap on this team and this group, and today starts that process."
Farrell also said against left-handers, he can see Victorino batting second followed by Pedroia, Ortiz and Napoli.
