Sox Rotation: Lester vs Northeastern, Beckett Starts Grapefruit Schedule
BOSTON (CBS) – No one really knows what the Red Sox rotation will look like come April 5 in Detroit, but it is set for the first week of the Spring.
Jon Lester will take the mound when the Red Sox face the Northeastern Huskies on Saturday, the team's first game of the Spring. Those expected to follow the lefty out of the bullpen include Michael Bowden and Matt Albers. Felix Doubront will start for Boston in the nightcap against Boston College.

Lester will then hit the mound next Wednesday in a "B" game against the Twins.
Josh Beckett will start off the Red Sox' Grapefruit League play against the Twins Sunday afternoon, with Andrew Miller and Mark Melancon expected to follow. Clay Buchholz will get the start on Monday against the Twins when the Sox travel across town to Hammond County.

Daniel Bard and Alfredo Aceves, both rotation hopefuls, will both throw in a "B" game against the Twins this Thursday, prior to the spring schedule getting underway. They will both pitch again next Tuesday when the Sox host the Baltimore Orioles at JetBlue Park.
Other rotation, and roster, hopefuls Vicente Padilla and Carlos Silva are also scheduled to get their turn on the mound, with Padilla following Buchholz Monday, March 7 against the Jays and Silva getting the start Wednesday, March 9 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
