Red Sox Pedroia Lands On SI Cover
BOSTON (CBS) - Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been hitting the cover off the ball, and it has landed him on one of the most famous covers in sports.
Pedroia graces the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated, with a feature by baseball writer Tom Verducci titled "Heart of the Red Sox: Dustin Pedroia."

Pedroia has been on fire since the calendar turned to June. He's raised his batting average from .240 to .311, hitting .372 the last nine weeks.

Since 1988, the Red Sox are the only team to feature players from all nine positions on the cover of Sports Illustrated (including a starting pitcher and closer).
