Red Sox Papelbon Hit With 3-Game Suspension
BOSTON (CBS) - Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon has been suspended for three games by Major League Baseball for "inappropriate actions" and making contact with home plate umpire Tony Randazzo on Saturday.
Papelbon was ejected from Boston's 9-8 extra innings win over the Oakland Athletics for arguing balls and strikes, and erupted after the getting tossed. He had to be separated from Randazzo by manager Terry Francona.
