Red Sox Ortiz Gets His RBI Back
MINNEAPOLIS (AP/CBS) -- Red Sox DH David Ortiz has his RBI back from a scorer's call of a game last week.
The scorer had taken away an RBI in the Red Sox 4-3 win against the Indians, prompting Ortiz to complain during Terry Francona's post-game news conference. The Sox appealed the ruling to the league and found out Tuesday the appeal was successful.
The official scorer changed his original call, saying one run had scored on Ortiz's single and the other one on an error by Cleveland outfielder Austin Kearns, who bobbled the ball. But upon review, MLB decided Kevin Youkilis' intentions were to try and score before Kearns' misplay.

With Ortiz getting his RBI back, the error was also taken away from Kearns.
Ortiz now has 76 for the season.
Dustin Pedroia told the media on Tuesday he joked with Ortiz, saying Theo Epstein and John Henry were the ones that requested the RBI be taken away.
