Red Sox Lose To Rays Again, Scare For Youkilis
[photogallerylink id=30558 align=right]The Red Sox are now 3 and a half games out of first place and a game and a half behind Tampa Bay for second after another 1 run loss to the Rays last night, 3-2 at Tropicana Field. Carl Crawford homered and Jeff Niemann allowed 1 un-earned run in 6 innings for the victory while the Sox lost yet another player. Kevin Youkilis left in the 3rd inning with what he described as a cramp in his ankle and was replaced by Niuman Romero. The rookie then proceeded to leave 6 runners on base in 3 at-bats, including the tying run on 3rd in the 9th. Tim Wakefield will start tonight for the Sox in the finale of this 3 game series.
As for Youkilis, he said after the game that, despite his sore ankle, he plans on playing this evening.
