Red Sox Lineup: Crawford In, Ortiz Out
BOSTON (CBS) - Carl Crawford is back in the lineup for the Red Sox in Baltimore on Monday night, but David Ortiz is not according to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Jonny Miller.
The Red Sox DH is starting his suspension for his role in the melee against the Orioles July 8 at Fenway. His original suspension of four games was reduced to three by Major League Baseball on Monday.
For Crawford, this is his first game since June 17 when he left against the Brewers with a left hamstring injury. Crawford was placed on the disabled list the next day. He played in two minor league games over the weekend for the PawSox, going 1-for-5 with an RBI and run scored.
Crawford will bat sixth and play left field Monday night. The Red Sox will have to make a roster move to make room for him, likely sending down infielder Drew Sutton.

With Ortiz out, leadoff hitter Jacoby Ellsbury will get the start at DH. He has one career at-bat as the DH, going o-for-1. Josh Reddick gets the nod in center field.
Knuckleballer Tim Wakefield (5-3, 4.74 ERA) gets the start on the mound in search of career win number-199.
It will be interesting to see how Boston does Monday night, who after a 16-inning 1-0 win in Tampa Sunday night, did not get to their hotel in Baltimore until 6 AM.
