Iglesias Named AL Rookie Of The Month For June
BOSTON (CBS) - After nearly hitting .400 for the month of June, Boston Red Sox infielder Jose Iglesias has been named the American League Rookie of the Month.
The slick-fielding infielder hit .395 (34-for-86) with four doubles, a pair of triples and one home run in June, adding six RBI and 17 runs scored for Boston. In 25 games, Iglesias tallied 11 multi-hit games, and had a career-best 18-game hitting streak from May 27th to June 18th.

During the streak, Iglesias hit .422, going 27-for-64.
Among qualifying rookies, Iglesias was first in batting average, OBP (.453), base hits and runs scored.
