Red Sox Fans Claim To Have Predicted World Series
BOSTON (CBS) -- Jim Deboisbriand of Amesbury and Phil Dunlavey of Mendon are two die-hard Red Sox fans who firmly believed the Red Sox would go all the way.
Jim even predicated back in April that the Red Sox would win the World Series. Now seven months later his prediction is one game away from reality.
"I could just feel it this was the year for the Boston Red Sox," Deboisbriand said.
Turns out, Jim was right all along. While most fans were skeptical of how the Red Sox season would go, neither he nor Phil doubted one bit. They believed.
"Last year was a devastating year and now it's the wow factor. It's great to be back," Dunlavey said.
Both fans have their homes decorated in Red Sox history. They say they are ready to add a 2013 World Series banner to their collection.
"We swept them in 2004, but this is a tight series and we are all on edge on this one," Deboisbriand said. Still, Jim predicts a Red Sox World Series Championship for 2013.
