Bobby V: 'I Hate The Yankees'
BOSTON (CBS) - Bobby Valentine is used to disliking the New York Yankees from his days with the New York Mets.
Now he is getting to know the rivals from a Red Sox standpoint.
"I hate the Yankees. I don't want to waste this valuable time talking about the Yankees. This is too valuable, it really is," the new Sox skipper joked, even sitting back to visualize the headlines of Thursday's papers.
"I told Joe Girardi I used to love him, and now I hate him," joked Valentine.

Valentine, who grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, grew up rooting for the Yankees.
The Red Sox and Yankees first meet for a three-game series at Fenway on April 20.
As for the Red Sox other rivals in the AL East, Valentine was much more kind when asked about the Tampa Bay Rays.
"From afar, I've been in awe of the job they've done. I've admired the work of Joe Maddon and his team," said Valentine.
"If I was a broadcaster answering that question, I would say that everyone would rather have an expert team than have a team of experts," he said. "I think that they strive to have an expert team and have succeeded in doing that."
