South Boston T Station Reopens After Man Hit By Train
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) -- A South Boston T station has reopened after a man was hit by a Red Line train Sunday afternoon.
First responders were called to the Broadway MBTA Station shortly before 3 p.m. Transit police say a man in his mid-50s was trespassing on the southbound tracks when he was struck.
The unidentified man was rushed to the hospital after suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say there was no foul play.
Investigators closed off the area for about 3 1/2 hours before the station reopened and service was restored. In the interim, riders had to take shuttle buses from Park Street to JFK stations.
