Red Flag Fire Warning Issued Due To Winds, Dry Conditions
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A combination of strong winds and dry conditions have raised the risk of brush fires Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for all of southern New England through 8 p.m.
Authorities say any fires that start could spread quickly due to the gusty winds and low relative humidity in the region.
One brush fire was spotted Thursday afternoon in Wenham on a hiking trail near the Danvers line off Robin Hill Road.
No injuries were reported. The fire was several hundred feet away from a group of homes.
