Raynham Advises Residents To Stay Inside At Night After EEE Case
RAYNHAM (CBS) - A day after that the state's Department of Public Health reported the first human case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Massachusetts, Raynham's Board of Health is advising all outdoor activity to be cut short.
The victim, an elderly man was from Bristol County, although health officials would not confirm what town.

Residents in Raynham admit they are worried about the threat.
"Nervous, uncomfortable," said Judith Wittig, "because you never know what's out there. Obviously mosquitoes are out there."
On Friday, DPH State Epidemiologist Dr. Alfred DeMaria warned that the threat of EEE could loom for several more weeks.
"Just because the summer's over… the risk of mosquito-borne infection is not over," he said.
