Rare Snakes Worth $1,150 Stolen From Taunton Store
TAUNTON (CBS) - Police say two rare and expensive baby snakes were stolen from a Petco Sunday afternoon.
An Albino Ball Python and Bumblebee Python, valued at $600 and $550, were taken from their aquarium.
Police say it appears the aquarium was tampered with and the suspect likely hid the snakes in their clothing to leave the store.

Petco employees are concerned about the snakes because they require specific heat and light.
"This is the first time I've ever had snakes stolen," Officer Michael Larkin said. "Usually it's smaller items, less alive."
