Randolph Clerk Shot At During Robbery
RANDOLPH (CBS) -- Kenny Dang knows he is lucky to be safe after being shot at, but says he did what he had to do after his uncle's gas station was robbed Tuesday night.
Dang, who runs the Randolph shop, was about to close up for the night just before 7 p.m., when two men walked in with hoods and masks, waving a gun and knife and demanding cash. They tried to tie up Dang and his cousin, while they scoured the store for money.
Dang cooperated with them, and they took off with $1,500. But then Dang decided he didn't want to cooperate any more, and followed them.

The robbers fired a semi-automatic gun in Dang's direction, and then drove away. Dang jumped in his car, and followed them a few blocks down a dead end street. The robbers waved their gun at him, and then got away again.
But Dang remembered their license plate, and reported it to police. With that information, police say they were able to catch one of the robbers in Brockton.
Randolph Detective Lt. Arthur Sullivan says, "It was brave. Obviously he was upset they stole his money. They work hard for it. But I wouldn't recommend chasing after someone who's armed and willing to shoot you."
Investigators are still searching for the other robber.
