Rain...One Day Away

We will squeeze out another dry day today. Clouds will increase ahead of a storm system approaching from our southwest. High pressure centered to our north is producing a northeasterly breeze leading to cooler temperatures along the immediate coastline.  Highs will range between 35-40F.

High pressure slowly loses grip tomorrow as a light wintry mix slips into western New England possibly affecting areas in Central Mass and southern Vermont and NH tomorrow morning.  Otherwise, the mix will transition to light rain showers which slowly travel eastward through the day. Eastern Mass will have the best chance of staying rain-free through the morning hours.  The heaviest rain is expected to stay to our south and west on Thursday, but a second wave of low pressure that develops along the cold front will bring us pockets of heavy rain/potential thunder late-day Friday.  Friday will also include gusty southeast winds and warmer temperatures in the 50s. Rainfall totals are expected to be about .5" or less for Southeastern Mass, .5"-1" for Eastern Mass, and 1-1.5" for Central Mass.  The amounts could change though depending on where the highest UVV's set up shop and the exact movement of the second wave of low pressure.

***Daylight Saving Time begins 2am this Sunday.  Don't forget to 'spring' your clocks ahead one hour before bedtime Saturday night.
