Third Suspect Charged In Raekwon Brown Murder
BOSTON (CBS) -- A third suspect was arraigned Tuesday in the shooting near Dorchester's Burke High School that left a 17-year-old student dead and two others injured last month.
Jaden Waiters, 20, of Dorchester is charged with one count of murder and two counts of armed assault with intent to murder in the killing of Raekwon Brown and the shooting of two others. He was held without bail.
Jonathan Aguasvivas, 23, of Roxbury and Benzy Bain, 24, of Dorchester are facing those same charges. They were arrested two weeks after the shooting, and are also being held without bail.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. on June 8 at a pizza restaurant near Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other victims, aged 16 and 17, were injured. A woman in her 60s was also treated at the scene for a minor injury resulting from the shooting.
The Suffolk District Attorney's office said evidence including video footage led to the arrest of Aguasvivas and Bain, and said additional, unnamed evidence led them to Waiters.
The Suffolk DA's office said anyone with further information about the shooting should contact Boston Police.
Waiters, Aguasvivas, and Bain are all due back in court September 7.
