Quinsigamond Community College Evacuated Following Shooter Threat
WORCESTER (CBS/AP) — Quinsigamond Community College has been evacuated due to threats of a shooting.
The community college in Worcester issued an alert at 8:47 a.m. Thursday that the campus has been closed until further notice. It asked all faculty and students to leave the main campus on West Boylston Street "in an orderly fashion."
At 10:16 a.m., the college said it had received a "shooter threat."
QCC Media Relations said in a statement that the school received the threat around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, and that no injuries were reported as a result of the threat.
"The campus was evacuated in a controlled and orderly manner," the statement read.
No other details were immediately available.
The evacuation comes after the campus was closed Wednesday afternoon due to a bomb threat.
