Quincy Mural Of Obama As Jimi Hendrix Can Stay

QUINCY (CBS) - The city says the mural blending Obama and Jimi Hendrix can stay, as long as the owners of the building get the required permits.

Earlier this month, the city said the owners of The President's Rock Club on Hancock Street must get rid of a mural painted on the side of the building because they did not have the required permit.

"The mayor didn't think there was any real need to have the bar paint over the mural if, in fact, their intention was to seek the appropriate permit," spokesman Chris Walker for Mayor Thomas Koch said. "He felt that was an appropriate middle ground."

Bar owners are now seeking the appropriate permits.
