Quiet For Now...
A cold dome of high pressure is settling into New England at the moment...lots of bright sun but chilly temps in the lower 40s. This high will slide offshore tomorrow allowing for milder air to work back in. As this happens, clouds will increase and Friday will end up mostly cloudy with the chance of a few sprinkles or flurries especially early on. A fast-moving cold front will whip through Friday night...it won't have much moisture associated with it some just a few rain showers are expected very early Saturday morning. Blustery conditions will commence by late Saturday morning and sunshine will break through. A secondary cold front will race through, ushering in another arctic blast...flurries will be possible as it swings through Saturday night then the bottom falls out and temps will struggle to get to the freezing mark Sunday.
Next week is a big travel week and there are some signs of a potential storm centered around Wednesday...the busiest travel day of the year. We will obviously be keeping an eye on the latest developments with this one.
