Carrying signs like "Don't Gobble Up Medicare," a couple dozen people, some dressed as turkeys, marched outside the Boston offices of Senators John kerry and Scott Brown to express their concern about the fate of social security and medicare.

"Even though the super committee failed, over the next year, they'll be discussing the $1.2 trillion in cuts, and we wanna make sure that social security, medicare and Medicaid is off the table," said Natasha Perez of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.

"We're trying to tell them we're talking cold turkey with the delegation of Massachusetts, both Congress and Senate, and we're saying don't gobble up our social security, medicare and Medicaid," added Perez.

The protesters said they were worried that lawmakers will attempt to balance the budget on the backs of the poor and the elderly.
