Prosecutors Show Jury Blood-Stained Clothing In Astley Murder Trial
WOBURN (CBS) - "Does water erase fingerprints?"
That was subject of Nate Fujita's Google search after the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Astley. Prosecutors pulled up those records in a show of evidence in this third week of Fujita's murder trial.
Astley was murdered in July 2011 by her ex-boyfriend Fujita. Fujita admits he killed his high school sweetheart, but his attorneys are arguing he was insane at the time.

Jurors got a first-hand view of bloodstained sneakers and bloody sweatshirts stashed in a crawlspace Fujita had access to from his bedroom.
Astley's mother winced as the prosecutor pulled out a bungee cord used in her daughter's murder, a wedge sandal, and the leopard print sundress she wore in her last tortured moments of life.
The digital evidence was just as chilling.
Besides the Google search on erasing fingerprints, cell phone records showed correspondence between Fujita and Astley.
"I'm at work till 7," she texted.
More than five hours later, he called her, then texted, "call me when you get out."
That was moments before her murder.
The case is expected to go to the jury next Tuesday.
